Discipleship

Discipleship Process

Here at Arbor Pointe Church, we desire to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.  This is our mission and the mission statement for the United Methodist Church.

As a body of believers in Christ, we will grow in faith through worship, learning God’s Word, giving, fellowship, prayer, service, outreach, and living holy lives.

We do this through the following schedule:

  • Sunday Bible Class and Worship – (emphasis on worship, learn God’s Word, and giving)
  • Grow Groups – (emphasis on study, fellowship and prayer)
  • Ministry & Mission – (emphasis on service and outreach)
  • Consistent Personal Devotion Time– (emphasis on holy living through Christ)

Our process of growth can be illustrated as a journey - in fact, it's THE Journey!  Becoming more like Jesus is THE Journey of this life and it is through engaging in Grow Groups, Ministry in and outside the community, mission work locally, regionally and internationally, giving of our time and resources to Kingdom building activites, and a personal plan of study that we are able to travel the path God has planned for each of us.  At Arbor Pointe, we have an intentional process of discipleship to inspire each of us to discover our calling and live it out for our children, youth, and adults.  We believe that we - the church - are at our best when we be who we are individually and communally for His glory.

You are invited to join us on THE Journey!  We hope to see you soon...but if you don't come here - please engage in THE Journey at a church that is glorifying God and seeking to help each person live out their calling!
